We dedicate this week (December 1-7) to Crohn's and Colitis Awareness Week, and its effort to shed light on the challenges faced by the millions of lives affected by this illness.
Facts about Crohn's and Colitis:
Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis belong to a group of conditions known as inflammatory bowel disease or IBD.
Crohn’s disease causes abdominal pain, sever diarrhea, fatigue, and malnutrition.
Ulcerative Colitis can lead to complications, such as severe dehydration, a perforated colon, bone loss, and inflammation.
This Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Week, we join forces with the healthcare professionals in spreading awareness of these health conditions and work with them to gain the support of even more community members.
