Just last Monday marked a momentous milestone as Brexton celebrated his recovery from his second open heart surgery, a testament to his unwavering courage and unbreakable spirit.

Brexton's journey began with the unique challenge of complex congenital heart defects (CHD), a condition that forms during pregnancy. His mom shared the intricate details of his battle, shedding light on the world of CHD. These structural heart problems affect about one out of every 100 babies and come in various forms, from simple to complex. 🌟

For Brexton, his journey was defined by multiple heart defects – Coarctation of the Aorta (COA), Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV), Double Outlet Left Atrium (DOLA), and Complete Atrioventricular Canal (CAVC), all coupled with a leaky heart.

His resilience was evident from the moment he was born, when he had mere seconds to receive oxygen and prostaglandins (PGE) to sustain his life. With multiple open heart surgeries under his belt, Brexton's story is a testament to his fighting spirit and unyielding determination.
